Demar has been actively operating in mining industry since 2000. We have been running several mines in Sivas/Turkey. Beginning from 2000 till 2006 Demar produced celestite at its own plant. We have been one of the biggest exporters of celestite in that area.

Today, Demar carries out international trading of ferrosilicomanganese (FeSiMn), fluorite (CaF2) and magnesium granules.

Furthermore, Demar is supplying and exporting Manganese Ore from various quarries in Turkey. We also supply Fluorite from our joint venture company owned deposits in Morocco.

 

Fluorite: (Metallurgical Grade)
Metallurgical grade fluorite has traditionally been used as a flux to lower the melting point of raw materials in steel production to aid the removal of impurities, and later in the production of aluminium.

Our company supplies "R&M Fluorite" specially produced for steel industry.

Besides, we carry out mining in Morocco through our joint venture company. Our mining operation extracts metallurgical-grade fluorite from its deposit in Morocco. The average CaF2-content is significantly more than 88%, and the SiO2 content is less than 5%.

 

Ferrosilicomanganese (FeSiMn):

Ferrosilicomanganese is usually supplied for steelmaking and foundry use.

We supply 70% min. FeSiMn in bigbags or in bulk, mainly from Georgia, on trucks.

 

Manganese Ore:

Manganese is essential to iron and steel production by virtue of its sulfur-fixing, deoxidizing, and alloying properties. Steelmaking, including its iron making component, has accounted for most manganese demand, presently in the range of 85% to 90% of the total demand.

We supply Mn ore (32% min.) from various quarries in Turkey.

 

Magnesium Granules:

Our company currently manages the import of Mg Granules (97% min.) to the Turkish Iron and Steel Industry.
